Since
TTP kicked off in 2003, Thorpe Park has held a fair few special
events to pull the guests in. Here's our guide to what happened:
24th
- 26th October 2003: Thorpe Fireworks
A
fireworks spectacular for all the family. Thorpe Park set up barges
loaded with fireworks and positioned them in the lake by Vortex
and the entrance bridge. The Park closed later to accomodate the
display, which was quite spectacular.
27
October – 2 November 2003: Fright Nites
Thorpe
Park's 2nd Fright Nites event, sponsored by Capital FM,
was just a success as the first in 2002. Lasting for a
week, the Park opened from 12 noon - 11pm, and attractions
such as The Freezer and 3D Freakshow successfully scared
the wits out of most guests. Ultimate Horror Movie Bites
was shown in the Pirates 4D cinema, including scenes from
The Ring, The Birds, The Haunting and The Texas Chain Saw
Massacre, to mixed reactions.
22nd
- 31st October 2004: Fright Nites
One
year on and Thorpe's Halloween event continued to grow. Fright
Nites this year stretched over 10 days, and included The Carnival
of the Bizzare in the Pirates 4D cinema. The Freezer and 3D Freakshow
returned for thier 3rd outings.

1st
- 4th September 2005: Playstation Weekender
A
new event for Thorpe Park, which opened until 7pm. Playstation
took over and added many new attractions, such as Free
to Party Beach Bash, Smallest Disco in the World, Free
to Fight Sumo Wrestling and Singstar Party. T4
were filming on Park all day. The
biggest draw was performances from Razorlight and Feeder
on 2 satges erected by Colossus and Nemesis Inferno. It
was a very successful event.
21st
to 30th October 2005: Fright Nites
Fright
Nites' 4th year, and as such The Freezer was transformed into The
Asylum and 3D Freakshow became Hellgate. Dr Haze and his cast returned
in the Pirates 4D cinema for their 2nd year.

studio. However, aside from this competition,
nothing much changed on Park.

Sprite
showcased some of the UK’s best in skate, BMX and B-Boy action,
with guests being able to join workshops on BMX and Skateboarding
taught by the professionals.
