Review:
Quantum
is a Magic Carpet Ride, with 40 people seated in rows facing
each other. The carpet rises and falls, being powered by 4 strong
arms: 2 at either ends of the platform. This motion gives a great
feeling of weightlessness and gives "airtime" to the
riders. The fact that riders sit opposite each other, on either
half of the carpet, means that riders can watch each other's
expressions - this adds to the ride experience.
Unfortunately,
some people have found Quantum to be quite a jerky ride, and
it may hurt your back or neck with its harsh movement. It is
also not for people who get queasy - it can easily make you sick.
This, along with the fact it has a high throughput, means that
Quantum usually has short queues.
However,
if you have a strong stomach, enjoy feeling weightless and don't
mind being bumped around a bit, then Quantum is a treat to ride.
It makes a great use of a small space, is well themed to the
area, and is another great ride for Lost City.
