Review:
The
Canada Creek Railway used to run from Canada Creek to Thorpe
Farm, providing passengers with an easy way to see Thorpe's animals.
However, when Thorpe Farm closed in 2006, the Railway was seemingly
made redundant - there was no purpose for it. Thorpe Park decided
to keep it, however, as a family ride - and it now shuttles around
the Canada Creek area in a smaller, circular track.
The
trains still look gorgeous, despite their age, and the ride in
its current form isn't half bad. For starters, the track route
offers fantastic views of both SAW - The Ride and Logger's Leap,
which makes the journey much more interesting for those wanting
to suss out the big rides before they ride them! Secondly, Thorpe
Park have tried to increase the fun factor for little ones by
introducing a "Bear Watch" game which guests can participate
in when they are on board the train. The Thorpe Park rangrs have
spotted some bears around the Canada Creek area - can you spot
them too?
Thorpe
Park have done well to keep the Canada Creek Railway relevant
and worthwhile. It's a fun adventure, and certainly the best
all-round attraction for young families.
Positives:
- Inventive
way to bring back the Railway after the demise of Thorpe Farm.
- Good
interaction between the trains and other rides in the area.
- An
entertaining train driver can really add to the experience.
Negatives:
- Track
is a lot shorter than it used to be.

Reviews:
"This
ride was quite interesting because there was a bear spotting
game, but I liked the old layout of track better!"
