Special Events:

For 2012, Thorpe Park will be once again putting on their annual Halloween event, Fright Nights, and back for another year is Sun Scream, the Park's summer festival. Also returning for a second year in 2012 is Thorpe Park Blows It Up, Thorpe's fireworks event! Other events are scheduled throughout the year.

How to Get There:

By car, Thorpe is 20 miles from London, and is signposted from the Junctions 11 and 13 of the M25 (NOT accessible from Junction 12). Follow signs on the A320 from there. There are trains from Reading, Guildford and London Waterloo to Staines, and a shuttle bus can take you from there - they run every 30 minutes. Or, you can arrive at Chertsey Station on some trains, and take a 5 minute ride on a bus to Thorpe.

Or, solely by bus, you can take the 436/437/426 from Woking, the 551 from Staines or the 561 from Chobham (one way). Lastly, there's a Coach Service from Victoria to Staines. You can plan your car journey using the RAC Route Planner.

Thorpe Park's official website gives you more details here.
